The Boogie Monster is said to be an ominous figure, preying on sleeping minds and haunting dreams, but here at Bellwoods Brewery it's a welcome addition to our hoppy beer line up. And though the Witchshark made an impressive run as our only double IPA, the time came when we decided to make another -- one that would be just slightly lighter in body and bitterness.
Where as Witchshark has always been about American hop varieties, Boogie Monster showcases the intensity and nuances of hops from down under.
What it smells and tastes like: Well-balanced with restrained bitterness, the light malt body of this beer allows the bold, tropical fruit hop aromatics to shine. Notes of guava, melon. Scarily drinkable.
