Russian Imperial Stout

Hellwoods was the very first imperial stout we ever brewed, and one that became an instant classic, so it's especially nostalgic to come face-to-face with it once again after such a long hiatus. And even though we thoroughly enjoy a barrel aged doozy as much as the next person, drinking this beer again has been a convincing argument for the no bells and whistles stout.

What it smells like, what it tastes like: this extremely dark and complex beer has intense aromas and flavours of dark roast coffee, burnt chocolate, berries, maple, light smoke and vanilla.
